About the Artist
Since a young age, Jocelyn has been surrounded by art. Blessed to be raised in a home with an abundance of art supplies, an exceptional and ever-growing collection of art, and parents who supported creativity, art was simply a part of life. After completing her Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Education in Lethbridge, Alberta, Jocelyn taught high school and middle school for almost 6 years before she had her first son. It was during this new stage of life that she was able to rekindle her passion for art, specifically painting, and shortly after the birth of her second son, she began her journey in the art world.
Specializing in acrylic animal portraits, as well as a focus on textured landscapes and the occasional whimsical art, Jocelyn loves learning and experimenting with new mediums, styles and subjects. Jocelyn combines her love of teaching and art by teaching both private and group art classes, encouraging people of all ages to explore their own creativity and enjoy the journey of creating art.
